True Rosewater Astringent Toner
We've combined lemon juice, rosewater, witch hazel dsitillate and honey to make a perfectly balanced toner good for all skin types. Use twice daily for best reults.
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 fluid oz. English rosewater
1 fluid oz. witch hazel distillate (no alcohol)
2 teaspoons organic honey
2 fluid oz. formulator's alcohol
Mix together the rosewater and the witch hazel distillate. Add the honey, lemon juice and alcohol to the water mix. Pour into a sterile plastic or glass bottle and cap tightly. Shake vigorously to mix.
To make larger amounts, simply multiply the ingredient measurements by the needed factor. Use Phenonip at .5% as a preservative.
Rosewater Cleanser
This simple formula mixes gently antiseptic rosewater together with the powerful astringent action of lemon juice to give a mildly cleansing skin tonic. The shelf life of this product is about 5 days, when refrigerated. If you wish to make larger batches, simply multiply the ingredients by the needed factor. Use Phenonip at .5% to preserve.
4 fluid oz. English rosewater
1/2 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
Mix together in a sterile bottle and cap. Shake vigorously. Apply with cotton ball or pad and allow to air dry.
Rosewater and Witch Hazel Skin Quencher
Another very easy to make formula, this spray is great for use on dry or mature skin. Spray it on several times a day. Take care when using near eyes. True distillates contain small amounts of essential oils and can cause irritation if used near sensitive areas
.5 fluid oz. English rosewater
3 fluid oz. witch hazel distillate
Mix in a sterile bottle. Cap with a sprayer and mist face as needed. |
