Handcrafted Valentine's Cards Instructions

Make Valentine's Day more special
with the gift of a handmade card and envelope.

Materials:

Fiskars or other brand paper cutters/edgers
in a variety of different edges. Pinking shears
work well, too.

construction paper or other heavy colored paper
in shades of pink and red, purple and ivory.
Textured and homemade papers are great for this
project, as well.

cellophane in same colors

Kraft or heavy stock white parchment-type paper

glue sticks

No. 2 pencils

straight edge or ruler

ribbons or raffia for stitch work

hole puncher -- mini is great, if you can find

a couple a kids, or more

Trace a template if you are making lots of Valentines. Try a variety of edges to make your Valentines fancy.		Cut a piece of kraft or parchment paper to fit your card. Fold it in thirds to make an envelope. Use a hole punch and raffia or ribbon to lace. Use a running or whip stich. Adorn as you wish! Slide in a handmade card and fancy chocolate bar.
